So in one of my games last week a small rules question came up. Opponents Lucious pattern drop pod (assault out of drop pod) came in turn 1 and a nasty CC dreadnought jumped out, right next to my Mortis-Pattern Dreadnought with 2 TL Lascannons. If the Mortis had stood still last turn (he did), then he has skyfire and interceptor. So I shot at his dreadnought as he was getting out of his drop pod ready to assault. I didn’t kill him, but I stunned him.
My opponent, frustrated that his Lucious pod was effectively useless now that his dreadnought couldn’t assault challanged the ruling. His argument was that the drop pod was the only viable target as it came in from reserves, the dreadnought was merely just disembarking, not entering in through reserves. We had some other players chime in, most saying that I can shoot at the dreadnought as it did come in via reserves through a drop pod. We went with my ruling and the game went on. I easily destroyed the stun-locked dreadnought next turn and went on to win the nice friendly game.
Just for curiousity’s sake, we called GW a couple days later and asked about the ruling. We played it correctly. With interceptor you can shoot at a dreadnought that has disembarked from a drop pod. So if anything enters via reserves in a vehicle and disembarks you can shoot them with interceptor.
This week we've got a re-match. But this time he has the upper-hand. His minis are now painted. Everybody knows a fully painted mini rolls better. These are the Salamanders you have seen on here as my most recent commission

Thats a very intesting ruiling on GW. So instead if wasting those interceptor shots on the flyer, yiu can use it on its pay load. Nice.
